In general, an aluminium profile is a type of aluminum material with different cross sections, formed from aluminum bar through hot melting, extrusion and coating processes. The coating treatment mainly includes oxidation, electrophoresis coating, fluorocarbon spraying, powder coating and wood grain transfer, etc.
There are many types of aluminium profiles available, which can be classified as follows:

1. Casting is the first manufacturing process.
a. Material proportioning: according to the specific aluminum alloy, calculate the additive amount of alloying elements.
b. Melting: the proportional materials are sent into the melting furnace for melting, and then refined through degassing, deslagging processes.
c. Casting: the aluminum liquid is poured into a casting system which contains a hollow cavity of the desired shape, and then allowed to solidify, the solidified part can be a casting rod of various specifications.
2. Extrusion is a process used to form the aluminum profile. First an extrusion die must be designed and manufactured according to the cross section of the aluminum profile wanted, and then the heated casting rod is pushed or drawn through the die for extrusion molding.
3. Coating is the final manufacturing process.
a. Surface pretreatment: the surface of the aluminum profile should be cleaned using chemical or physical methods, so as to achieve a full, dense artificial oxide film.
b. Anodizing: under certain technological conditions, the surface of the pretreated aluminum profile will get anodized, forming a layer of dense, porous and absorptive AL203 film.
c. Sealing of pores: pores of oxidization film should be sealed so as to improve the corrosion resistance and abrasion resistance of the film.
